About the Artwork

A Little Toast Beside an Enormous Bottle

The Ajmar Spumante giant bottle poster builds its joke around an exaggerated difference in scale. A small formally dressed figure raises a glass beside the neck of an enormous green bottle. Bright yellow fills the surrounding space, and slender rays spread overhead, turning the bottle's upper edge into the center of a sparkling visual announcement.

Artwork and design

Red lettering curves across the top and stretches along the bottom, enclosing the narrow green bottle. The figure's dark jacket connects with the deepest shadows in the glass, while the pale label gives the lower half a clear light rectangle. The lifted arm and radiating lines carry the eye upward before the lower lettering draws it back down.

About this advertisement

The original text identifies Spumante L. Ajmar & C. and gives Nizza-Monferrato beneath the name. The advertisement presents sparkling wine through a toast and an oversized package, with little surrounding scenery. This compact arrangement lets the bottle become both the product illustration and the stage on which the small character performs its celebratory gesture.

Rooms and interiors

Choose a bright dining area, home bar or entertaining corner with a clear vertical wall. A yellow accent elsewhere in the room can connect to the ground without matching its intensity. Black furniture or a dark drinks trolley will help the green bottle and red lettering stand out.
