About the Artwork

A Burst of Figures Above the Cork

The champagne cork and cherubs print puts a tall bottle between two pale coupe glasses. Above the neck, a burst of tiny figures, foam and long ink strokes rises against yellow. The bottle’s green glass and the darker ledge below give the light, busy upper half a steady base.

Artwork and design

The coupes repeat each other on either side of the bottle, with rounded bowls held above thin stems. A few of the figures perch on their rims, while others fill the spray above the neck. Small gold shapes and pale pink outlines keep the cluster legible as it spreads out.

About this advertisement

The picture makes the opening of a sparkling wine bottle into a small theatrical event. The bottle and glasses form a familiar serving arrangement, then the rising figures give the bubbles a playful shape. A tiny mark near the lower edge is easy to miss beside the tall burst of color.

Rooms and interiors

This vertical piece fits beside a dining sideboard or in the narrow space next to a drinks cabinet. The yellow works with brass or warm wood, and the slender bottle leaves room for nearby decor. At eye level, the small faces and lightly drawn coupe rims are easier to pick out.
